Subject: Warning! Abridgment
Subject: Warning! Abridgment
This is not Vol.1 of Agnes Stricklands' famous HISTORY OF THE QUEENS OF ENGLAND. This is an abridgment by Rose Kaufman, done in 1894. It starts with Matilda Of Flanders, wife of William the Conquerer and ends with Katherine Parr, last wife of Henry VIII. This is disappointing as there appears to be no copy of the original Volume 1. It would be nice if Archive.org could provide a copy of the real Volume 1.
